Like the father who creates a child, and then left to get the milk, BlobKat<ref>Blob·Kat '''/blɒbkæt/ noun''' A rare mystical creature that can best be described as a blob with features of a cat. No pictures have ever been taken of one, but many artist impressions have been created. (BlobKat from [https://blobk.at/ his portfolio site])</ref> was the initial founder of rplace, telling zekiahepic about his idea for the project in discord DMs and triggering the creation of the site after he speed ran the initial prototype around April the 4th 2022. He initially created canv.tk, a similar pixel based site featuring an infinite map and reduced cooldown as a proof of concept for rplace, yet it turned out rplace would be much more popular than it's infinite equivalent in the long term.
